As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless moments, but there are some photoshoots that hold a special place in my heart. Recently, I had the honor of photographing Goldi, a beautiful Shepherd Newfoundland mix, whose endearing fluffiness and gentle spirit made for an unforgettable session.

Goldi’s journey is a poignant one. As she nears the end of her life, her owners reached out to me to capture her essence and the deep bond they share. Goldi has been diagnosed with doggie dementia, yet despite this, her spirit remains unbroken. She knows her name, responds to her favorite salmon treats, and, most importantly, she knows she is a good girl.

A Star in the Studio

From the moment Goldi stepped into my studio, she was a natural. Her fluffy coat and soulful eyes immediately caught the light, and she seemed to understand that this was her moment to shine. It was heartwarming to see her pose so naturally, whether she was sitting regally or playfully engaging with her beloved owners.
